About Us
His Story

Pastor Leanard Davis Jr. was senior pastor of New Zion-Fellowship – a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church from 1994-2000 before merging his congregation with the Rock Church of Petersburg in July of 2000 and submitting to the leadership of Rev. Gerald Davis. After serving for 5 years, Pastor Leonard Davis received a word from the Lord on Father’s Day 2005 that God was restoring his ministry in the West End of Petersburg. On the first Sunday of October 2005, during communion Pastor Gerald Davis released and commission Pastor Leonard Davis to birth the Father’s House Community Outreach Center. Currently, God has blessed us with 3 pieces of prime real estate at the “gateway” between the West End of Petersburg and Dinwiddie County line, which is to be the home of the Fathers House Community Outreach Center.

Her Story

God put in Co-Pastor Doris “Ms. Dee” Davis’ heart a burden for quality child care that resulted in her leaving a 12 year career in the insurance business to begin a daycare in the basement of her home. The home daycare operated for two and a half years in the basement as Dee’s Daycare. In September 1998, God gave Pastor Davis a vision for a Child Care Center by the Word of the Lord spoken through an eight-year-old boy in the congregation who said, “I’m going to preach one day.” God impressed in Pastor Davis the need to identify, evangelize, train and develop the next generation leaders and The Father’s House Child Care was birthed February 1, 1999. It began with eight children from “Dee’s Daycare.” Today in its 20th year of operation, under the able direction of Ms. Dee, The Father’s House serves its maximum capacity of 85 full-time children including infants and 25-30 before and after school children up to 12 years old.
